Marci Rule

Marci Rule is a realist oil painter based in Southern California. Marci grew up in the beautiful countryside in southwestern Wisconsin. Inspired by the beauty that surrounds her, she conveys what she sees in the details and the richness of color and depth that many people may miss in their daily lives. Her sense of connection to spirit and nature inspires her to want the viewers to experience similar feelings when seeing her paintings. It is Marci's goal to create paintings that allow people to feel drawn into the scene to recall their own joyous memories. "I want my art to resonate and have meaning...to be a reflection of the loves, passions and interests of the collector".

While living in Pinehurst, North Carolina in 1987, Marci's observations of the beauty in the local area fed her desire to paint local scenes. In her surroundings, the serenity and natural beauty of the golf courses caught her attention and sparked a thirty year career as an artist known for painting golf course landscapes. Marci has sold more than 35,000 reproductions of her golf art across the nation and the original work is in many private collections in the United States, including The Carolina Hotel at the Pinehurst Resort and a commission for the United States Olympic Committee. She continues to paint for private collections and country clubs nationwide. Marci also spent a decade in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she painted numerous portraits of sports heroes in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB. Many of these paintings were featured in Beckett Publishing magazines, including the Great Sports Heroes publications. Her work has also been featured in the movie Unstoppable, a 20th Century Fox Film and The Golf Channel.
